February favourites 2017//COLLAB WITH PRETTILY PAINTED

Hello everyone,
Another month has come to an end...boy did it go fast!Minutes turn into hours and days turn into weeks at the speed of light the older I get it seems, anyone else feel the same way?I can't keep up sometimes haha.

However swiftly moving on from my ramble,to end February with a bang I thought it would be a really nice idea to do a February favourites posts as a collab with one of my favourite bloggers called Prettily Painted!I have known Prettily Painted for almost two years now, pretty much since I began my blog so it's always great to see someone who's on the same page as you still going at the blogging game-especially when you've noticed several who started at the same time as you packing their bags or taking long breaks at a time from their mini blogging careers.

If you fancy finding out about Prettily Painted's February favourites this month then make sure you click this link to her blogpost http://prettilypainted.blogspot.co.uk/2017/02/february-favourites.html (blog:http://prettilypainted.blogspot.co.uk/)and don't forget to leave her lovley a comment and a follow.

Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 hour foundation
I stopped using this foundation for months after I noticed I was getting makeup related clogged pores but my usual concealer was too dark for me so I thought I would give the foundation a go again to cover up discoloration and spots.Since using this product again daily for a weeks I have noticed I still get clogged pores from it but not as many as before.I guess I should only use this once every few day, regardless I still like it
!
To be honest,I think the worst part about the whole concealer situation was me not realising that patches of bright orange were taking over my skin till it was basically too late,I even brushed it off my shoulder for a week because I didn't think it was all that noticeable!Yeah...as the days went on I noticed the patches more and more in the mirror and sorta' just snapped.

MUA Velvet lip laquar in Halcyon
Oh-my-goodness.I love this stuff!Liquid lipsticks are a popular trend which more and more people are buying into so what better way to trial it than to head down town and into your favourite drugstore?Pick this gorgeous shade up from Superdrug for a astonishingly affordable £3.00 if you're looking for a peachy nude shade that smells insanely similar to sweets. Its not drying nor flakey at all despite drying down matte after a few minutes and it also lasts pretty decently (several hours).

Maybelline Matte Maker pressed face powder
Sadly I'm beginning to get down to the last of it and although I have decided I shall not repurchase it,I do like it for what it is meant to do(for example;set my makeup, keep it matte, shine free etc).In addition I love the price point and how affordable it is at £3.99 which is the same as Rimmel's Stay Matte powder.
Vo5 Heat Protect spray
You might have seen it in my 2016 entire post but I decided to repurchase it as I am obsessed with the scent and how well it lasts after I finish straightening my hair.I can't quite describe it but it's really nice and the spray is meant to leave locks satin soft with an ultra shine finish which is a nice touch.
The Body Shop Moringa body butter
Yup the tub is a whopping 400ml and is worth £24.00 but it's so good! Each day and night I slather a small blob onto my hands and the end result is always beautifully soft, smooth skin that smells incredible even after two or three hours.

Simple Spotless skin anti-blemish moisturiser
*puts hands up*I will openly admit that when I used this the first time I was very disappointed at how it worked.I thought nothing had improved and my skin still felt sandpaper dry, paha' that was until the next go when I squeezed a bigger dollop than before.Instantly my face felt as if a mask a hydration had landed and it was terrific!Even my makeup was aided better in gliding on beautifully.

Tony Moly I'm Real facemask,Radiance
Wierdly,it is meant to have tomato extract in but luckily it doesn't smell of the fruit which was originally what I was anxious about.Instead this mask didn't actually smell of much and really helped my skin from being dull and dry(the rough dry patch near my cheekbones were dramatically reduced).I would 100% recommend people give these masks a go if you're interested in Korean skincare and their famous sheet masks.

Is there anything you want to try out? What would you recommend to me?

  1. Yes I agree! February has whizzed by! I would love to try the heat protectant spray as admittedly I barely use any when I straighten my hair which I know isn't good! I use the rimmel say matte powder but do you think the Maybelline one is any better? xx

    1. The V05 one is so good. From what I remember Rimmel's is a bit more finally milled but they're almost about the same, the only difference probably are the scents(personally I prefer Maybelline's tbh) x
