Collection Lasting Perfection VS Seventeen Staytime concealer|Review

Hello everyone,
I hope you're all doing well.Today I thought it would be a nice idea to to a comparison review on the similarish Collection Lasting Perfection and Seventeen stay time concealer because I have used them both on a daily basis for a while so have quite a clear idea on which I prefer, what I like about them, what I don't and why.

Brand
Collection has been well known pharmacist(or drugstore for those who prefer the american term)brand for god knows how long, some may even remember them with an extra 2000 at the end of their name which they dropped in 2012.On the other hand,Seventeen,a mid range 'drugstore' brand established by Boot's along with their other own branded No7 and Natural Collection makeup seems in my opinion,a bit overlooked.I feel like it hasn't had any products that has been given a huge amount of hype over-could this concealer be it?

Shades & price
Collection:
Fair,cool medium,warm medium,dark~£4.19

Seventeen:
Fair,extra fair,medium~£4.49

Collection obviously wins the shade range and price comparison, with Seventeen trailing behind by having one shade less and being roughly 30 pence more expensive.

Both match my skin okay, not the best but not many affordable concealers do considering my skin tone is warm and most face makeup out in the market are way too pink based for me.

Packaging
I don't know whether its surprising or not but they're quite similar, both of them are encased in plastic packaging and feature a simple round, black lid on the wand. They both look 'cheap' but that doesn't really matter because it's expected for the price(both still look pretty decent in my opinion).

There's not much to say apart from the usual, just that the Collection packaging tends to rub off as many others have experienced onto your fingers(which isn't particularly great if you don't realise and go straight into rubbing it in leaving ugly black flakes all over your face...eugh).

Formula/product
The two concealers both have a slight but pleasant scent to them,if you're worried however I wouldn't let this put you off because its pretty faint, they also share the same type of applicater,a doe-foot wand. These types are useful since you can apply it straight onto your face without fuss but doing so could easily transfer bacteria(especially if its put straight on to blemishes)so I prefer to easily solve this problem by applying it to the back of my hand before blending in.
Other than what I've mentioned above I have to admit they're pretty different from each other! The Collection's finish seems to be a lot more matte and drying but the Seventeen one is quite dewy(not the most but its far from what the Collection one is like).I found the Collection one went thicker than it was already was after a few weeks of opening and it wouldn't sit under my eyes without settling in the fine lines. It also had a tendency to stick to any dry skin or look cakey which I had no problems with, with the other more creamier concealer.Other than that the coverage was a lot more 'there' than Seventeen's.I can't say I agree with their 16 and 18 hour long wear claims because I haven't really tried it yet(and I doubt I ever will)but they both do last pretty well if you're wondering.

*TOP:Seventeen BOTTOM:Collection

Overall,I would most likely repurchase the less drying and creamier Seventeen stay time concealer over Collection's.Are you suprised?I certainly am!
