Korean skincare haul

Hello everyone,
If you follow my Instagram(cheeky self promo alert!:Follow my Instagram here if you haven't already)you may have known that I traveled away for a 3 week break away from home which to be honest, wasn't all that relaxing as holidays should be
...I was a mosquitoes magnet*insert sad face emoji*.My poor body pulled them in like a girl pulling boys and I now look like a victim of extreme chicken pox-err not cute hunni!Plus on the the temperature side, damn was it hot.Everyday there felt like I was a raw chicken withering around in an oven soaking up thick, juicy sauce like a towel(aka sweat).

Anyway let's pull that my moaning aside and get on with what the post was supposed to be about!Whilst I was on holiday I decided to visit a few drugstores and upon going,I saw many skincare products which were unavailable to purchase in the UK;many of the products were what I was interested in buying so I went kind of crazy and bought quite a bit knowing full well that I needed really just wanted them.

The first set of stuff I bought was recommended by a sales assistant who noticed that I had acne(I didn't wear any makeup at all on holiday considering the temperatures there reached a whopping 35 degrees),who used the face mapping technique to diagnose the reason to my 'problem areas'. According to her,the acne on my forehead was due to too little sleep(swear I get at least 8 hours every night though)and the line of spots below my nose was because of hormonal problems.

The solution products she suggested were bought out by a brand called Youthful Wonder-one had the job of cleansing skin and the other was what I suppose may be a serum.
However once having seen that I was slightly reluctant to buy the products after telling her I already had quite a few skincare products sitting at home, she in return replied with saying that they clearly weren't doing a good enough job and then went as far as chucking in a free pack of face masks to complete luring in the prey...the final result?Duh,I of course totally fell for it.After all,a couple more products to stash in the skincare draw at home won't hurt and we all love a good ol' freebie.

Amongst the set of skincare,I received two free of charge 13 ml pots of skin conditioner made by a Japanese brand called Hatomugi. After a bit of research,I found that it has rather alluring concepts including being used as a facemask(once soaked in cotton pads),a toner, moisturiser and also a face mist;the skincare product is rather exotic I'd say.
Several days later I hit the shops again and during a casual wonder around(only really to use the free WiFi and the oh so heavenly air conditioning)I spotted the popular Tony Moly face masks sitting on them shelves which spin around.Tony Moly is a brand famous for their snail gel masks which let me guess...you're probably thinking it's rather gross yet actually quite intriguing,am I right*nudges arm*? #physic

Beside them facemasks there was a zillion shelves and with the combination of bad skin I knew I was in the right place + at the right time to make a purchase.Unfortunately I decided to not purchase the snail face mask(at ¥48 for just the 'one' the price felt a little too steep)so instead I chose to check out their other masks knowing their was an awesome 5 for 4 offer. At 12 dollars a pop each I decided to buy:
  • × 2 Brightening lemon sheet masks
  • × 1 Moisturising aloe vera sheet mask
  • × 1 Radiance boosting tomato mask sheet
  • × 1 Pore caring red wine mask sheet
I can't wait to give all these products a go soon, especially the face masks because for one I haven't used one in months and two, because I'm sure as you all know Korea is well known for highly valuing skin-therefore creating quality skincare.

  8. I love Korean skincare and makeup, a brand called Missha makes my favorite BB Cream. I've also tried Tony Moly's hand cream but they're nothing special, though their lip tints are very pretty. Lovely post!
