UNDER £5 haircare finds that you *NEED* to know about

Hello everyone,
Let me tell you a bit about my hair...first off,its an absolute pain in the ar*e and secondly,it's high maintenance and thirdly,it's an absolute pain in the ar*e(repetition was intended). However with a bit of tender love and care it 'can' be the complete opposite.Last year I had my hair permanently straightened at a salon for a hundred pounds or so and even though it was expensive,it was worth it.

Unfortunately though,as expected my hair has grown out and now it's slowly returning back to its natural cave women state which I am determined to keep at bay. Therefore, over the past few months I have been on the hunt for purse-friendly yet effective products and now I'm ready to give you the full rundown on what has made it onto my list.

*Wails*I just don't get it.This brand has brung out an entire range of delisously, fruity scented shampoos with a matching conditioner for £2.00-two quid for BOTH 200ml bottles!Yet no blogger has ever sung its praises/mentioned using the brand.I'm not sure if people are put off by the cheap price tag and instantly think that they'd rather stick to their more upmarket products but after trying them out I have never once stopped repurchasing their products. My hair is drier than a desert and spending one pound on conditioner which runs out within two or three months means I can use as much as I want.Honestly I can't fault this conditioner in anyway at all,not only it cheap as chips but it's also very effective! This is a keeper for years to come in my eyes.

Cyacyvabfhhih this stuff smells so freakin' GOOD!Just like your skin,I think that sometimes it's also great to treat your hair to a rich, moisturiserising mask at least once a week/once in a while.

Me:flashbacks to all the times I've frazzled it with hideously high heat...rip hair.

I'm a big sufferer of flyaway hair syndrome so anything which suppresses my problem is a great help. With this product all that you need to do is come out the shower, towel dry your hair and then squirt a small amount onto your hands before slathering it on all over avoiding the roots. You can also use it like a hair oil on dry hair to get rid of frizz although I find that it makes my hair feel slightly sticky afterwards.

Yup,as you can probably tell I have a slight obsession with VO5 haircare products but I'm totally fine with it because none of their products surpass over £5.00(let's just say that it's a relief for my purse)and fortunately my favourite heat defence spray comes from them. The reason behind why I always repurchase this is because I like how shiny it makes my locks look when I staighten my hair.

No time?Greasy hair?Running late?Whatever the reason for me having greasy hair Bastiste's range of dry shampoos have always got me covered. My favourite so far is the Cherry Blossom one although I occasionally also opt for the Original version too.Whoever invented dry shampoo is a blooming genius and deserves a round of applause!

Want more dry shampoo recommendations?Professional reviewers from www.reviews.com put to the test a whopping 54 products and they battled it out to find the best ones...no matter the price, high or low each was honestly judged on their performance here at http://www.reviews.com/dry-shampoo/ .

Happy Naturals Argon Oil serum | £4.00

This serum smells divine and for £4.00 I am amazed as to how nicely it adds back shine into my hair after I staighten it.All that's needed is a small pea-sized pump into your hands to smooth over abused ends(sometimes I also rub it over my roots too as I always, always get flyaways at the top of my head where regrowth is occurring).

What haircare products do you swear by?

  1. My hair is a nightmare too, having it permanently straightened would be so convenient but are there any side effects? I swear by oils, and I used to use those L'Oreal intensive pots, they're so good x

  7. I have horrible fly aways too, I'm glad I know about these products now, hopefully they will help! I've been using Aussie's 'Frizz ease' conditioner, but its good to know there are cheaper options!
